28.02.2024<\/p><p>\\\"Recalibragem\\\", a visual device originally commissioned for the exhibition \u201cEmancipation of the Living\u201d at <span>Galerias Municipais de Lisboa [<\/span>Municipal Galleries of Lisbon], derives from a series of urban research projects focused on perceptions of European territory. Frame Colectivo collected images related to narratives of Eurocentric and nationalist supremacy, filming both urban and rural trajectories. The installation, curated by the Museum for the Displaced, includes two videos and a text mural in clay letters written by J\u00e9ssica Bruno. It composes a poetic landscape that materializes words, memory, and collective responsibility in shaping the European urban and rural future. \u201cRecalibragem\u201d emerges from the urgency to formulate alternatives in the perception of identity and urban practices. These lens-less, reversed images compel viewers to contemplate and complete the European landscape, interfering with the image that is familiar to us.<\/p><p>Frame Colectivo is an architecture studio based in Lisbon that explores the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and art through interdisciplinary collaborations. Since 2013, they have been engaged in research on public and semi-public urban spaces, implementing contextualized collective projects.
