through space without moving \u2014 as in David Lynch\u2019s film Dune, based on Frank Herbert\u2019s book \u2014 illustrates the concept of being in two places at the same time. This phenomenon can be understood as a metaphor for quantum superposition. According to Schr\u00f6dinger\u2019s theory, any body or particle that is not being observed can simultaneously exist in all possible states and positions. However, once observed, the superposition collapses.<br \/>This experiment places the human body in a quantum condition. A quantum simulatorcaptures all the probable positions in which the human body exists in a single instant. It operates by projecting the probability of occupying space across three coordinate planes. The intersection of these planes generates a volume of probable space, closely resembling contemporary representations of an atom.<br \/>The installation presents this probability volume in two ways: in one room, as a visible manifestation of human quantum space; in another, in relation to the three registration planes of the simulator. Before entering the gallery, still out on the street, images of the work process are displayed on a hording. The access corridor plays an excerpt from the film Dune.<\/p><p>G\u00d8RVELL is a place of encounter, imagination, reflection, research and realisation.
