School<br \/>18 - 25.07.2025<\/p><p>A Shopyard Summer School foi um programa intensivo de experimenta\u00e7\u00e3o pedag\u00f3gica, organizado em parceria pelos Space Transcribers e o INSTITUTO. Com a dura\u00e7\u00e3o de uma semana, o programa focou-se na experimenta\u00e7\u00e3o e discuss\u00e3o sobre a ativa\u00e7\u00e3o dos centros comerciais de primeira gera\u00e7\u00e3o em Braga.<\/p><p>No centro de Braga, existem mais de 25 centros comerciais constru\u00eddos nas d\u00e9cadas de 1980 e 1990. Apesar de localizados em \u00e1reas centrais e privilegiadas, muitos destes espa\u00e7os encontram-se atualmente subutilizados. A expans\u00e3o das grandes superf\u00edcies comerciais na periferia, a mudan\u00e7a nos h\u00e1bitos de consumo e as crises econ\u00f3micas das \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas resultaram na desocupa\u00e7\u00e3o prolongada destes edif\u00edcios. Este fen\u00f3meno n\u00e3o \u00e9 exclusivo a Braga e reflete a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o das din\u00e2micas urbanas e comerciais em v\u00e1rias cidades pela Europa fora. No entanto, estes espa\u00e7os vazios representam oportunidades para criar novas din\u00e2micas culturais e espaciais na cidade.<\/p><p>Durante o programa da Summer School, um grupo de 30 participantes, selecionados atrav\u00e9s de uma convocat\u00f3ria, foi distribu\u00eddo por tr\u00eas grupos de trabalho, cada um orientado por <br \/>um dos mentores convidados: oitoo, BUREAU e OUEST architecture.<\/p><p>Cada grupo focou-se na cria\u00e7\u00e3o de propostas espaciais e sociais para cada um dos tr\u00eas casos de estudo selecionados. As interven\u00e7\u00f5es pr\u00e1ticas podem incluiram projetos de arquitetura, instala\u00e7\u00f5es art\u00edsticas tempor\u00e1rias, oficinas participativas e atividades experimentais que dialogaram com as din\u00e2micas comerciais e sociais destes espa\u00e7os.
