Entre 2006 e 2007, esteve no Jap\u00e3o a desenvolver um projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a arquitetura tradicional e a sociedade japonesa. Colaborou com diversos ateliers de arquitetura no Jap\u00e3o e Inglaterra. Entre estes, foi gestor de projeto no atelier Claudio Silvestrin Architects (Londres). \u00c9 co-fundador do MONOatelier, sediado entre Mil\u00e3o e Porto, desde 2009, desenvolvendo projetos em It\u00e1lia, Portugal e Su\u00ed\u00e7a. Entre 2011 a 2018 trabalhou na Accademia di Architettura, Mendrisio (Sui\u00e7a), com Valentin Bearth e Eduardo Souto de Moura. Desde 2012, colabora com Francis K\u00e9r\u00e9 (Berlim) com quem fundou, e atualmente lidera, o curso de constru\u00e7\u00e3o Building Reality, que ocorre em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses da \u00c1frica subsariana. Entre 2013 a 2017, em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com a Accademia di Architettura, coordenou o curso \u201cLearning by Doing\u201d, construindo estruturas tempor\u00e1rias em institui\u00e7\u00f5es como a Bienal de Arquitetura de Veneza. Em 2018 lecionou o curso \u201cIntrodu\u00e7\u00e3o ao Continente Africano\u201d, na Accademia di Architettura, Mendrisio. As duas entidades trabalham em conjunto para melhorar a integra\u00e7\u00e3o dos aglomerados informais nas cidades atrav\u00e9s de processos de desenho participativo e programas culturais. O seu trabalho recebeu pr\u00e9mios em v\u00e1rios concursos e bienais de arquitetura e urbanismo. A Igreja de San Juan Mar\u00eda Vianney em Media Legua, Venezuela, foi vencedor da XI BIAU 2019 e o projeto \u201cIntegration Process Caracas\u201d no barrio La Palomera \u00e9 parte da Bienal de Arquitetura de Veneza 2021. Elisa recebeu o Rome Prize da American Academy em 2005, a Wheelwright Fellowship de Harvard em 2011, Graham Foundation Grant em 2017, e a Lucas Artist Fellowship em 2019. \u00c9 co-autora de \u201cCABA: Cartography of the Caracas barrios\u201d (2014) e \u201cPure Space: Expanding the Public Sphere through Public Space Transformations in Latin American Informal Settlements\u201d (Actar, 2020). \u00c9 professora convidada na Princeton University School of Architecture e Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Design na Universidade de Toronto.
