the finished building, at 1:1 scale, is just one of the various forms of representation the project as a mental construction and artistic creation can take. Long before it exists as an object, and long after it becomes a ruin, this metaphysical reality can be other things. “caiu” (portuguese for “it fell”) is a dialogue between filipe paixão and nuno m. sousa through a common lens: the drawing as a body of work that is autonomous from its eventual physical consequence. ”caiu” is an exhibition about mechanics.

Corpo is an architecture and art studio, focused on the expansion and exploration of architectural anatomy through a perpetual process of experimentation using the practise of drawing, redrawing and modelling. Nuno M. Sousa is an architect living and working in Penafiel, who draws in sheets when the slowness of building leaves him craving for immediacy. Filipe Magalhães is an architect and founder of fala atelier.
