Dancing Architects – Summer Lab 2023

Between the 4th and 9th September 2023, we hosted Dancing Architects, a workshop exploring the way we engage, perceive, and create space by moving. The workshop included architecture visits, seminars and talks, and a closing public event. It was coordinated and tutored by Takako Hasegawa, researcher and educator at Architectural Association – London, and Julie Anne Stanzak, dancer at Pina Bausch Academy – Wuppertal. Over the course of 6 intense days, the group of national and international participants were able to interact with INSTITUTO’s ‘spatial choreography’, as well as with the built environment surrounding us in Porto.
