"Surfaces Profondes"
This new photo series by Julia Dupont is centred on space and light. It focuses on architectural details (interior or exterior, contemporary or vernacular), where unique light phenomena occur, causing surprise whenever they appear. Taken in different geographies and places, these images present geometric spaces where light sketches out atmospheres - sometimes sharp, sometimes blurry - and gradually moves towards abstraction.
Julia Dupont is a french artist of portuguese descent that lives in Paris. She studied Photography and Plastic Arts at University Paris 8. Since 2016, she made a first photo series in Portugal, called Épure, followed by two new projects in the same country, in photography and video. Her practice is essentially inspired by the perception of architectural and scenic space. For more information go to this link.
