“Só Fachada” stems from INSTITUTO’s particular circumstance as a cultural space born in the back of a decaying building at Rua dos Clérigos 44, Porto.

The project proposes to reframe the significance of the building itself, bringing new life to its current condition, transforming its façade for the enjoyment of the city and its inhabitants.

Curated by Underdogs Gallery, Pauline Foessel and Alexandre Farto (Vhils), the artists Kruella d’Enfer, ±MaisMenos± and Berru are invited to do art residencies and to produce temporary interventions in the façade of the building.

The project also includes workshops with each artist, a talk and a publication.
