INSTITUTO hosts a talk with alumni from The Berlage, an architecture school in the Netherlands. The presentations are held in the framework of their field trip to Porto, with professor Salomon Fausto and assistant Joana Azevedo. This and other voyages that have been reported over the years, such as Le Corbusier’s Orient Trip or Aldo Van Eyck in the North of Africa, express a practice for knowledge based in the idea of beginning, of a new artistic sense of what is experienced. Set to overcome the limits of multiculturalism and to counterattack homogenization, the students are engaged to release themselves from the constraints of the environment in which they grew up.
