"Stories from the Unspectacular" describes an appropriation of urban space with the attitude of a roving landscape painter. The artist adapts elements of his immediate surroundings, sharpens his eye for the spectualization of urban space, and in doing so he creates his own street romanticism.

In his genre-crossing works Toni Ehrhardt questions culturally determined connections between plants, stones, things, humans and other bodies. He considers all existing material as active ingredients of a world-in-formation and dedicates himself to the socially shaped processes of delimitation and re-approximation of these formations.
